How to Install ClearStream On-Board for the Impinj R700

Installing the ClearStream On-Board Application

If the application has not yet been installed on the reader follow the steps below to install. You can download the latest version here: ClearStream RFID On-Board

• Use a web browser to open the Impinj Reader web configuration utility, and login (default User: root, password: impinj)
• Click on the 'select' link in the Firmware and CAP section
• 
• Navigate to the .upgx package file, and click Install
• When prompted click Reboot to finish the installation.

To activate the reader you will need to know the Device ID of the reader. The easiest way to get this is to use the ClearStream On-Board Installation wizard that is included with the standard ClearStream RFID installation. This can be found in the Start Menu after install, and is labelled as Install ClearStream On-Board as in the screenshot below. At the end of stepping through this Wizard for an Impinj R700 device, the wizard can retrieve your Device ID.
